Breaking: Sunday Dare make Ministerials list from Oyo ahead of Ajimobi, Zaccheus and Adelabu. President Muhammadu Buhari has finally forwarded the list of ministerial nominees to Senate for confirmation, the unknown and unexpected man Sunday Dare emerged as Oyo state nominee for ministerial position. There are 43 nominees by the President. On the list announced by Senate President Ahmed Lawan are former ministers Babatunde Fashola, Rotimi Amaechi, Ogbonnaya Onu, Adamu Adamu (Bauchi), Senator Chris Ngige (Anambra). Also on the list are former Governors Rauf Aregbesola (Osun) George Akume (Benue) Timipre Sylva (Bayelsa), Adeniyi Adebayo (Ekiti). Some of the newcomers are Senator Godswill Akpabio (Akwa Ibom), Sunday Dare (Oyo), Festus Keyamo (Delta), Sharon Ikeazor (Anambra), Senator Tayo Alasoadura (Ondo), Senator Gbemisola Saraki (Kwara) and Olorunnibe Mamora (Lagos). Channels TV reporter shot during Shiites bloody protest is dead. Precious Owolabi, a reporter with Channels television who was shot on Monday during Shiites protest is dead. Her demise was just confirmed by her media establishment during their 10 p.m. news cast. Owolabi was one of the people shot during the Shiites protest who are demanding the release of their leader El-Zakzaky in detention. A Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Mr Usman Umar, was also killed in the crossfire. In a statement by Force Spokesman, DCP Frank Mba, in Abuja, he said that two other officers were injured in the incident. He said that 54 suspects had been arrested in connection to the protest that involved no fewer than 3, 000 members of the group, protesting the continued detention of their leader, El-Zakzakky. 2 killed, many injured as quarry caves-in in Ibadan. Two workers on Monday died as a quarry caved-in in Ologuneru, Eleyele – Eruwa area of Ibadan, in Oyo state. The accident, which happened at Carpenter Bus stop, Ologuneru, attracted scores of sympathisers who thronged the spot. The incident, according to a witness, was at the site  where sand was packed into a truck when the heap of sand which is about two-storey building high, suddenly caved in and covered the three men below. One of the residents in the area told our correspondent that aside FRSC, Policemen and officials of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) also stormed the area for rescue operation. Adebayo Babajide Chairman Committee Inaugurated by Oyo 9th Assembly The  Oyo State House of Assembly has inaugurated a standing committee for the 9th Assembly with Chairmen and members of the committee. The speaker, Rt. hon. Debo Ogundoyin, on Thursday morning read the various constituted house committees during the lawmakers’ plenary session.  Ogundoyin, while presenting the names of standing committee said, the step was taken to enhance and promote the working activities of the Assembly.
